5G: The future of Networking is READY
5G
may be defined as the forthcoming generation of our mobile networking, the
current being 4G and hence the name 5G.
The
inexactness of 5G is that it is just a “Concept” as of today as the wireless
communication companies have not set any standards for and around this new
network.
5G
will be bringing us with more Improvements, High Internet Speeds, but it may
also be compromise as of a suite of better technologies.
Benefits of 5G:
·
It
may make unified global standards for all devices.
·
The
availability of network will be much better and will help people to use their gadgets
whenever, wherever.
·
Thanks
to the IPv6 technology, the visiting care of IP addresses shall be given as per
the network to which it is connected and the geographical position.
·
We
may see a real Wi-Fi zone across cities.
·
Even
at higher altitude level, the radio signals may be available.
5G in India:
As the pattern follows for the previous generations of Mobile
Technology, we can expect 5G to be launched in 3-5 years from now (Nearly 2020),
but may take more time for being usable for use common people.
The
speed of 5G will be considerably high. As per the MCW (Mobile World Congress), after
the introduction of 5G in India we will be able to download HD movies of over 8
GBs in nearly 10 seconds, giving much more speed than 4G which downloads it in
7 minutes and our old best friend 3G took hours to download.
The
4G LTE networks as of today can support a maximum of 4 receivers and 8
transmitters, 5G networks will easily
support more than a dozen receivers and transmitters.
Evolution:
As of today, LTE/4G has proven itself
to be the most successful communication technologies worldwide. It has to
continue its role in communication technology for years to come. It is
currently very well positioned and will deliver the most important 5G requirements. As LTE is continuing to evolve, operators need to
prepare for 5G. They need to find the solutions to the problems of growth of
current services of our current networks.
Mobile networks
and networking have already joined our daily lives, but our expectation towards
them is continuously changing. 5G network is currently the key for keeping pace
with the evolving Networked society. Opportunities are having new high-bandwidth
application, Internet of Things(IoT)’s low latency powered services and much
more.
The evolution of
network to 5G will surely satisfy all these needs and connectivity for any
gadget or application that may be beneficial to us.
Communications
Architecture:
By now we might have got the idea that the architecture of 5G would
be highly advanced. Various network terminals and network elements would be upgraded
so that 5G is made affordable.
The
above figure shows us that the 5G network will possess an IP based model design
for the communication devices. The system shall comprise of main user terminal connected
to many radio access technologies. Each and every radio technology can be
considered as the IP link to the world. The IP technology is basically designed
to ensure sufficient data control for the routing of the IP packets concerning
their desired application connections.
Moreover,
for making accessible routing of packets should be fixed with accordance with
the given user policies as shown in the diagram below.
Master Core Technology
This Technology controls all the modes
of DAT(Different Access Network) and RAN. This technology manages all new
deployment and is highly compatible, it is much more powerful, efficient and less
complicated.
Bandwidth
Every
generation of mobile network are usually assigned new and better frequency
bands which provides wider spectral bandwidth per channel frequency.
The
First Generation(1G) had bands up to 30kHZ, the second generation(2G) possessed
bands up to 200kHZ, the third generation (3G) constituted bands of 5MHz and our
current generation 4G has bands up to 20MHz, providing very less room for new frequency
bands, larger channel bandwidth for land-mobile radio.
K-band transmission is overlapped by higher
frequencies transmission of communication satellite. From users point of views
the mobile generations have seen considerable increase in peak bitrate, up to 1
GB/s is offered by 4G.
Spectrum
Bands:
Lower energy bands of ranges 3300-4200 MHz and
4400-4990 MHz are the primary spectrum bands for first trials and introduction
of 5G in a number of countries and regions in the world, including: -
Europe - 3400-3800MHz
for which trial licenses are awarded.
China - 3300-3600
MHz for which the trial is ongoing
4400-4500 MHz and 4800-4990 MHz trails for
this are also to be considered
Japan - 3600-4200
MHz and 4400-4900 MHz
Korea
- 3400-3700 MHz
USA - 3100-3550 MHz and 3700-4200 MHz
